So it is my tentative conclusion that at least as far as the iPhone is concerned, there is a heavy, constant hit for some unknown reason regarding phone location and the Audible app. When I turned Location Services back on my battery started draining like crazy again. Sure enough - with Location Services turned off my battery life significantly improved - even w/heavy Audible usage. Audible has no listing in the Privacy settings, so since I couldn’t turn it off there I did some testing running the Audible app w/the Location Services turned off completely, then w/them turned back on. Noticed recently that the indicator notifying Location Services in use was coming up constantly even tho I have most of my apps set to “never” for location (this is set in the “Privacy” settings on the iPhone. I’ve had this problem with my iPhone Audible app for quite a while. ![]()
